the most important relationship you have is the one you have with yourself
- Aristotle
Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here
I’m Kayla, APCC, M.A. I’m a holistic psychotherapist, specializing in gestalt, IFS, and somatic-informed therapy based in California. Healing can feel like a journey sometimes and you don’t have to do it alone. In fact, we’re not meant to! When our nervous systems feel safe in the presence of those we trust, deep healing can unfold.
In our work together, we slow down enough to listen beneath the striving.
Many of the people I work with are high-achieving, capable, and deeply thoughtful — yet privately carry the sense that they’re “never quite enough.” From a nervous system perspective, this often reflects early adaptations that once helped you succeed, stay connected, or feel safe. Therapy here offers a space where your system can slow down, feel met, and begin to reorganize — not through force, but through attuned, relational presence.
When your experience is deeply understood, the brain becomes more flexible. New choices become possible.
Healing Begins With You — A Relational Invitation
Who I Work With & What I Support
I support adults who are:
High achievers, professionals, and creatives
Experiencing anxiety, burnout, or chronic self-criticism
Navigating relational patterns such as people-pleasing or emotional disconnection
Drawn to therapy that works with the nervous system, not against it
Many of these patterns are not personal failures — they are learned responses that get encoded in the brain and body. Therapy becomes a place where we can gently (and firmly) update what your system may have learned long ago.
How We Work — A Neuro-Relational Experience
My approach integrates Gestalt Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic awareness, mindfulness, and neuro-relational principles drawn from interpersonal neurobiology, and Resonance Language.
When your inner experience is reflected with accuracy and care, the brain receives a powerful signal of safety. This kind of resonant language supports neural integration — helping fragmented or over-protective parts soften and reorganize. Rather than analyzing from a distance and staying stuck in the story, we work in the here and now, allowing your nervous system to experience and create a new path forward.
