inner tides
emerging work
Currently I am working on something that I am very excited about. Finally, it feels like the stars are aligning and my passions are merging, blending, ebbing, and flowing together. Kinda like a painting.
This summer, I will be showing my new work, “inner tides” at Botanic and Luxe in downtown Santa Cruz, CA.
“inner tides” is a deep dive into the intersectionality between seascapes and emotional vitality, wellbeing, and mental health awareness.
As a psychotherapist, yoga educator, and artist, I believe our inner states directly reflect and effect those around us, and the world at large. I believe that mental health is key to a better and brighter future for all.
My intention is to create art that is deeply transformative and a bridge to greater self-awareness and wellbeing for all beings and the planet.
ways to be involved
This work is sustained by a small circle of patrons who believe in the importance of art, healing, and embodied presence.
Each tier offers a way to participate
in the unfolding of the work.
What your pledge supports
-
You are supporting the creative process which can include things like tangible materials (such as canvas, paints, brushes, and mediums) as well as additional costs of living while allowing oneself to commit fully to their creativity from a place of inner ease.
-
I strongly believe in the deep connection between mental health and creativity. How we are internally, directly impacts our external environments.
When we feel safe in our bodies and our lives, creativity can flow with more ease. Simultaneously, having access to creativity through materials and time + space, is a privilege in this world.
That’s why I am giving 10% of your pledge to support other communities in need (details below). I believe that there is enough to go around for everyone.
-
10% of your pledge goes to support Paint Love, an organization focused on serving youth populations impacted by poverty, trauma, or systemic inequity.
Paint Love is a trauma-informed nonprofit that delivers art programming through schools and community partners. They offer artist-led workshops designed with therapist and educators for programs that use art to help kids process emotions, build resilience, and strengthen identity.
